| Building a Gingerbread House - Tip #1 |
| Saturday, November 24, 2007 |
When building a gingerbread house from a store-bought kit, before leaving the store, remember to read the label of the box that tells you the kit does not include ICING. *sigh*Labels: Pimpin some stuff, pWn3d |

| Tea for Two and Two for Tea |
| Saturday, October 13, 2007 |
Dude. I'm seriously addicted to teahouses now. Ever since my good friend Patti, from Georgia, took me to one in her town, I've been trying to find similar teahouses here in SoCal. Well, some of my girlfriends and I checked out this place today, called Sussex Teapot, and it's pretty good. It doesn' t have any of the hats and fur coats that the other place had, not to mention the southern feel to it, but it was still cute and located in a quiet/quaint little area.
The four of us had the Afternoon Cream Tea - which is pretty much a pot of tea, tea sandwiches, and scones with jam and cream. The great part about being four of us, is that we each got a different sandwich, and the lady serving us was nice enough to divide the sandwiches for us. So your tea sandwiches arrive with some chips and salad. The tea I had was vanilla, and it was oh so scrumptious. Sure, I had to pee several times this afternoon from drinking cup after cup, but it was worth it. And the scones... yum! Just the right size and very good with cream/jam. All this for only $13.50 per person. I think that's well worth it.
So anyway, we're gonna try to make this a once a month thing. I swear I'm getting old because when I tell other people I'm going out for tea, they kinda look at me like I'm a freakin loser. And you know what? I really don't care. The girls and I usually do a monthly happy hour after work too, where we bitch about work and kick back a few drinks (well, they do, not me). So this is pretty much the same deal.. but instead of cursing and being loud about our work venting, we're doing it in a more refined way. *smiles*
Does anyone else like having tea parties? And if you're from SoCal, know of any good places?Labels: Friends, Pimpin some stuff |

| Eclipse is coming soon! |
| Wednesday, July 25, 2007 |
Eclipse, the third book (following Twilight and New Moon) in the vampire series by Stephanie Meyer, is released on August 7. I've already preordered my copy and have been anticipating the release for a long time (see the countdown on my sidebar). I stumbled upon an interview with Stephanie Meyer, through the Borders website. Check it out.....
You can skip ahead to different parts in the interview (it's rather long). I think I should've been invited to that discussion panel.. ya know... add a little variety to the group. :)Labels: Books, Pimpin some stuff |

| Book Binge |
| Monday, April 30, 2007 |
Hey everyone! As many of you know, my other blog home away from home has been Sanctuary's Finest. I'll admit, I'm not the most active member on that blog. It takes me a bit longer to read books, and an even longer time to finally get off my lazy butt and write up a review. Even my personal blog has been just sorta "meh" and I don't really expect readers to be checking it every day. Why should they, when I don't post every day?
Anyway, SF will still be up and running, but in the meantime, please go check out the latest and greatest blog, Book Binge. Set up by the same lovely gals who brought you SF, but with a newer look, and hopefully newer faces. So please stop on by, take a peek and say hello!
